POPE'S POPULARITY HAS FAR REACH

The first year in a new position, he was selected as Time Magazine’s Person of the Year. Last year, he was featured on the cover of rock magazine Rolling Stone. He has about 20 million Twitter followers and is considered the most influential world leader on the social media site.

Pope Francis has not only captured the attention of the catholic community, but has gained popularity throughout the nation and the world.

“The fact that Pope Francis was Time’s Person of The Year, further emphasizes the admiration that people — Catholic and non-Catholic alike — have for His Holiness,” said 2015 World Meeting of Families Executive Director Donna Crilley Farrell.

He’s a very approachable person, said Rabbi Lawrence Troster of Kesher Israel Congregation in West Chester.
