POPE FRANCIS' PLANS BUSY SCHEDULE FOR WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES TRIP TO PHILADELPHIA

PHILADELPHIA >> With the release of Pope Francis’ official itinerary at the end of July, the excitement and anticipation of his arrival for the 2015 World Meeting of Families is escalating rapidly.

Millions of visitors will be traveling to Philadelphia during the last weekend in September and those making the trip will be sure to encounter one thing — wall-to-wall crowds.

The Holy Father’s itinerary is practically filled from morning to night until he leaves, but not all of his schedule will be open to the public.

Below is a guide of publicly accessible events, their locations and what to expect on Sept. 26 and 27 when Pope Francis is in the city. The exact times of some of his itinerary has not been finalized.
